The color: very clear and pale yellow gold.
On the nose: malt, homemade cookies, sweet, spices

Finish: Similar to the palate with spices well present and in the foreground, accompanied by a hint of liquorice.
A bit of history...
CRAIGELLACHIE means "The rocky hill", it is the cliff overlooking the river Spey.
The distillery is located in the middle of the Speyside, at the crossing of the river Fiddich and the river Spey. It was founded by a group of whisky merchants and had a few owners until it was bought by John Deawars & Sons in 1998, who own MacDuff and Aberfeldy and are owned by Bacardi.
The Craigellachie Hotel is an ideal base for visiting the many distilleries in the vicinity of Macallans, Aberlour, Cardu and the Speyside Cooperage.
