This wine Beaune 1er Cru - Les Pertuizots 2020 is a 100% Pinot Noir made from 41 year old vines, cultivated using sustainable agriculture on an East/South-East facing Premier Cru at an altitude of 250 metres with a moderate slope. The clay soils rest on a compact limestone base. The grapes are harvested by hand, followed by two successive sortings on a table. The maceration is adapted according to the daily tasting, then the pressing is carried out gently. The wine is aged for 15 months in barrels, with about 20-25% new barrels. Blending is carried out for 3 to 4 months, before bottling on the estate without fining.
In its youth, this wine is full of charm, but it can also age easily and develop more complex notes, ranging from leather to undergrowth. On the palate, it is both powerful and well-crafted, with smooth and delicate tannins and a very good length.
